Montreal, Canada (April 18, 2024)– The World Poker Tour® is set to return to Playground from May 9-22 for a festival chalk full of events. Along with the three marquee tournaments of WPT® Montreal, a prominent Meet-Up Game (MUG) will take place featuring WPT talent, *WPT Global ambassadors, and poker personalities.

“Establishing a Meet-Up game at Playground during WPT Montreal was a natural fit in planning the festival,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “And we are going all out for this one. The MUG experience will be enhanced with a roster of notable names and plenty of WPT Global prizes and merchandise.”

The WPT Montreal MUG will occur Tuesday, May 14, aligning with Day 1C of the $1,150 WPT Prime Montreal Championship and two days before the start of the $3,500 WPT Montreal Championship event.

More than 40 tables will be allocated to the cash-game event, and among them will be a cast of names, including WPT Ambassador Brad Owen, WPT Executive Tournament Director Matt Savage, WPT Commentators Tony Dunst and Vince Van Patten, WPT Global Ambassadors Jon Van Fleet and Xuan Liu, and friends of WPT Global Conrad Simpson, and Nikki Limo.

“I am super excited to get out to Playground for another MUG,” said Owen. “We hosted one there last fall with WPT Global and had a great turnout. I also look forward to jumping back into the WPT tournament scene with the Prime and Championship events.”

The MUG will begin at 12:00 p.m. local time, the blind limits will be $1/$3 and $2/$5, and the cast of players are set to rotate tables every 30 minutes.
