Biography
Isaac Haxton is an American professional poker player from New York. As of June 2023, he sits with over $37.5 million in career earnings and is regarded as one of the best high-stakes poker tournament players currently active.
Haxton burst onto the scene in 2007 when he finished second in the World Poker Tour Championship Event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. He lost that event to Ryan Daut, but still cashed for $860,000.
Background
Isaac Haxton was born in 1988 in New York. He started playing poker in his teens with his friends and by the time he turned 18 Haxton took his game to the live circuit and has been doing quite well for himself. Haxton is also considered one of the best online players in the game. Fearless and aggressive, hes racked up numerous tournament scores online and regularly plays in the largest cash games around.
Before poker Haxton, like many other poker pros played all kinds of board and card games including chess and Magic: The Gathering. He picked up poker in high school and became serious about the game when he started studying computer science at Brown University. After awhile Haxton decided to take some time off school and pursue a career in poker. However, unlike many other young poker guns, Haxton had his family behind his back. He started playing poker in casinos at the age of 18 and soon enough he entered his first live tournament, the 2007 WPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

Haxton has nine top-10 finishes in WSOP events. The closest he has come to winning a bracelet came in 2009, prior to his victory in 2023. He played in the prestigious $40,000 anniversary event at the World Series and placed second behind Russian professional Vitaly Lunkin. Haxton held the chip lead going into heads-up play, but finished second, earning over $1.1 million for his finish.

High Roller Results
After his first seven-figure score at the 2009 WSOP, it would be four years until his next at the GuangDong Asia Millions in Macau.
The following year Haxton finished second in the A$250,000 Challenge at the Aussie MIllions for US$2,525,841.
By now Haxton was regularly playing $25,000 High Rollers all over the world, including on the European Poker Tour at the Aria in Las Vegas. However, the introduction tours such as the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series and the US Poker Open would see him add to his high-roller poker resume.
An eighth-place finish in the Super High Roller Bowl China preceded Triton cashes in Montenegro, South Korea and London before the pandemic hit.
2022 saw Haxton playing in Triton events in Madrid and Cyprus, while also dominating online winning his third GGPoker Super MILLION$ title.
In 2023, Haxton took down the $25,000 High Roller for his first WSOP bracelet.
